Hate Breed
Founded in 2001, the INDECLINE activist art collective comprises graffiti artists, performance artists, filmmakers and photographers. They address social, ecological and economic injustices committed by the US government, international institutions, corporations and law enforcement. INDECLINE has produced numerous interventions and short films that have gone viral.
Hate Breed is a searing music video that confronts the racial hatred stoked by Trump and his supporters. Footage of one of their protest performances is intercut with FOX News reports denouncing the action. Driven by a punk cover of ‘I Wanna Be Your Dog’ by The Stooges, performed by Get Dead, the video bristles with urgency and defiance. While INDECLINE does not stage mass demonstrations, its provocative and darkly humorous actions reach millions online with uncompromising political force.
