Within the framework of For Real, artist initiative B32 and Viewmaster Foundation organise Cartune Xprez, composed by artists and curator Peter Burr (Portland, USA). Under the title Future Television, Burr brings a performance evening full of experimental cartoon screenings, comprising part video, live theatre, psychedelic rebellion and an animation show.<\/p>\n

Within the framework of For Real, Filmtheater Lumi\u00e8re Maastricht will be showing three special films that are in line with the central theme of the exhibition. The connection is the way in which alternative filmmakers use conventions from the gaming world to create a parallel, cinematic universe. The boundary between the virtual and so-called real world is always crossed, which leads to an existential crisis in the main character on more than one occasion.<\/p>\n
